POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for building, growing and evolving Ambler’s business relationships with its dealers through sales, sales support and problem resolution. This position is responsible for all aspects of reaching the stated goals, including, but not limited to: leading efforts to handle all Ambler’s dealer’s sales and service requirements; traveling extensively to build strong personal relationships and conduct business; representing these customer’s needs in all appropriate capacities and ensuring that these customers are exceedingly well-served.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Third-party sales representative with a minimum of five years in the outdoor apparel industry. An extensive account base and strong, established relationships with large retail chains within the relevant territory is mandatory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Responsible to take orders and sell product in accordance with Ambler sales programs and procedures. Also responsible for negotiating prices and dealer requests for delivery within the parameters of current terms, conditions, pricing, and availability. The Sales Manager's approval is necessary to meet any dealer requests outside of the current terms, conditions, pricing, and availability.
  2. Authorized to support and coordinate with the Sales & Service Representative. Responsible for regularly updating the Sales & Service Representative on dealer responses to product, sales programs, promotions, etc.
  3. Responsible for assisting in administrating pre-season selling, reselling, territory distribution and all other aspects of territory management, particularly concerning territory sales goals, maintaining current and intimate knowledge of their territory's customers in regards to corporate plans and goals.
  4. Responsible for explaining the Ambler Sales Program to dealers, for ensuring that all necessary sales and credit documentation is correctly completed by dealers, and for forwarding these documents to the Sales & Service Representative.
  5. Communicating with the Sales & Service Representative and the Office Manager on collection issues, customer credit limits, and new dealer credit approval processes.
  6. Travel to regional shows, demonstrations, and sales events as requested by the Sales Manager, especially in January and February of each year.
  7. Notifying the Sales & Service Representative with respect to possible Return Authorizations or any other issues that dealers need remedied.
  8. Authorized to modify and adjust orders to maintain accuracy and current booked information. Sales Manager's approval is necessary for any order cancellations over 20% of the customer's total season order.
